Reality show 'Bigg Boss' come to an end on its 85th day with the Grand Finale on Jan 27th hosted by Arshad Wasi. Who is going to be the winner was the big question in everyone's mind ?

Only 3 housemates were left in the house. Ravi Kishen, Rahul Roy and Carol Gracias.

On the final day, programme started with the eviction of Ravi Kishen. He was warmly welcomed by his kids and wife.

Anupama almost had tears in her eyes when she said that she could not relate to Aryan in the outside world. Aryan was not the same person as she found him inside the house.

Aryan said in a deep voice that he and Anupama were still friends and that Anupama was special to her.

All the contestants attended the Grand Finale. Amit, Rakhee Sawant, Rupali and Aryan performed item numbers on the stage. Baba sang a rap song.

Now it was between Carol and Rahul, who would win ?

The public verdict is out. Rahul Roy is the winner of reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' and the big prize money of Rs.50 lakhs

His non-emotional and neutral attitude could be his secret behind his win.

John's surprise visit: Can you guess who visited the house this time around? It was none other than the heartthrob of millions - John Abraham. He emerged before the housemates from a gift-wrapped cardboard box. Everybody had a gala time belly dancing and cracking jokes with John. In the end, John joined the guys in the swimming pool.

Rakhi's back: The excitement of John's visit was still in the air when the inmates found Santa Claus walking in. Arre yeh kya? It turned out that it was not Santa but Rakhi Sawant, the wild card entrant to the house. She was received with open arms by all the housemates.

Anupama exits: An exciting week in which as many as five contestants were nominated for eviction ended with Anupama being voted out of the house by the audience. Probably, she might find Aryan waiting for her at the door.

Ravi Kisshen and Carol Gracias

On the Reality TV Show 'Bigg Boss' Ravi Kisshen recently got a wedding anniversary card from his wife Preeti on how she enjoyed watching him getting massaged by Carol Gracias and he feeding her.

Kisshen's reaction: "Arre, sab dikha rahen honge kya camera pe?" (Are they showing everything on the camera?).

Aryan Vaid was voted out of the Sony TV's reality show 'Bigg Boss'. Aryan fell in love with his house mate Anupama during the show. 'The feeling of loving someone' made Aryan cry on the show while chating with the host of the show Arshad Wasi.

Earlier, the previous day, Aryan had feared that if he was evicted this week then Ravi would try to be close to Anupama. We could clearly see the hatred on his face when he asked Anupama to keep away from him. But Anupama teased this poor guy! She praised Ravi and said Aryan was sensitive!

Aryan was shocked to learn that Amit, Rahul and Ravi had nominated him to be evicted. He got wild at Ravi and used foul language on the show while chating with Arshad, which were censored with 'beeps'. He was angry because inside the house Ravi had mentioned that had not nomited him, which turned out to be a blatant lie. He said Ravi turned out to be like a UP / Bihari politician.

The competition in Bigg Boss is getting tougher by the day! The air has already heated up with the buzz that the last to be ousted, Rakhi Sawant will be back in the Boss' den through the wild card entry round. She was considered to be the trump card of the show right from the start and the TRP's of the show soared as the public enjoyed the bindaas attitude of this hot item girl!

Coming to the celebrities left in the show, the scene so appears that melodrama queen, Rupali Ganguli seems to be the next target to evacuate the house, Aryan Vaid being the other contender. She's even gone on record stating that the chances of her eviction are high as she thinks that Anupama and Aryan's love angle will give the show better TRPs.

With Rakhi coming back to the show and Roopali's fears almost coming true we hope it works well for the shows TRP's.

It has gossip, romance and drama, but India's prudish version of the worldwide hit reality show Big Brother has few takers on prime-time television long dominated by cat-fight soap operas.

The show went on air this month with 13 Bollywood film wannabes and has-been models, including a former Mr India, with the same format -- but much less skin and scandal -- as the international versions.

The series, Big Boss, tracks participants for over 100 days during which they are locked in a house and cut off from the outside world, with the television audience voting out one contestant each week.

The last one standing takes home Rs.5,000,000 (50 lakhs)

The first episode was watched by fewer than three percent of Hindi-language viewers among the nearly 62 million Indian households with cable television -- a paltry share compared to the 11.4 percent share notched by the top soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

According to TAM Media Research agency, the first episode of Bigg Boss ranked number 22 among prime time Hindi entertainment programmes -- mainly soaps revolving around two women scheming to woo the same man.

"These ratings are quite low, especially for a new show for which there normally is far more buzz," added Ashutosh Bhagat of media buying agency Mindshare India.

The show is seen as a bellwether for advertisers who want to reach the more than half of the 1.1 billion population who are under 25 and make up the booming market for electronic gadgets and cosmetics, said media consultant Praveen Tripathi, chief executive of Hansa Consulting.

The stage was set. It was time for yet another knock out/elimination session!

Bigg Boss, the Sony Entertainment Television's reality show focusing on 13 celebrities spending some 91 days in a room full of cameras, has one contestant quit the show each week based on audience votes.

The first to leave was Bobby Darling, who wanted to stay on as she desperately needed the money for a sex change operation.

This week, there were three contestants in the danger zone -- television actress Roopali Ganguli, Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishen and actor Deepak Parasher, the oldest member of the show.

It was Deepak Parasher who was voted out of Bigg Boss.

Deepak Tijori has replaced Salil Ankola in Sony Entertainment Television's reality show, Bigg Boss.

The actor-director made an entry at the Bigg Boss home (in Karjat, on the outskirts of Mumbai) at 4:30 am this morning and will be seen in tonight's episode.

When Tijori entered the house, no one noticed since they were sleeping. Tijori was discovered sleeping on the couch by his long-time buddy Rahul Roy -- who also happened to be his co-star in Aashiqui. Soon, the other participants awoke and welcomed the new entrant.

After Salil Ankola got entangled in a legal problem for not abiding by his contract with Balaji (which prohibited him from participating in any show outside the production house), he was asked to leave Sony's reality show, Bigg Boss.

Salil had entered into a contract with Balaji when he worked in their show, Karam Apna Apna.

Catch Bigg Boss at 10 pm between Mondays and Thurdays, and at 9 pm on Fridays on Sony Entertainment Channel.

Bobby Darling has been voted out of Sony's new reality show'Bigg Boss', leaving her fellow contestants grieved.

"Bobby showed amazing restraint. Considering she had made it clear that this was her big chance to get the money for her sex operation, Bobby handled her elimination with great maturity. All the others were very unhappy to see her go," a Sony official told to sources.

'Bigg Boss', which went on air Nov 3, is a reality show with 13 celebrities living together in a house for three months. Every week, one person who is unable to adjust is voted out.

Bobby had the time of her life in the show as she went through a mock-marriage with actor Aryan Vaid on the sets of 'Bigg Boss'.

And though earlier some other contestants like Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan hinted broadly at how Bobby's gender-threatened presence was causing some discomfort, there was a general sense of disbelief when she was voted out and asked to leave 'Bigg Boss'.

In fact, Ravi read Bobby's plan and prophesied that she'd finally be reconciled with her estranged father.

TV artist Rupali Ganguly, easily the most emotional of the bunch, howled in grief when Bobby's elimination was announced. Models Carol Gracias and Anupama Verma also wept openly.

But Bobby remained surprisingly calm after the announcement. She quietly walked up to the puja enclave and communicated with Lord Ganapati and began packing her bags.

Is India turning to adult TV?

Rumours are rife that Sony TV's recently launched Bigg Boss series, modelled on Channel 4's "Big Brother", is not meant for family audiences. But the channel denies it.

The show, which went on air last week, is a reality show with 13 celebrities living together in a house for three months. Every week, one person unable to cope with the situation will be eliminated.

"With all this excitement in the first week, do you think the show needs sex? The contestants are free to have sex if they want. But I doubt that would be the case. At heart we're all Indians. And Sony is an Indian family channel.

"So, I don't know where this 'news' about sex on the show comes from. We're certainly not advocating a peep show here," said the channel's creative head Sandeep Sickand.

"We're going to capture the contestants doing normal things, in the beautiful house that we've specially built for 'Bigg Boss' with a swimming pool, et al in Karjat. Of course, the contestants are excited and they are planning to do all sorts of things. But no sex! They'll do normal things like play games, cook food and etc," Sickand said.

The show features unusual scenes like model Carol Gracias kneading dough, item girl Rakhi Sawant playing chess with Bobby Darling - and a cow making an appearance at the Karjat house.

Question Sickand about the rather poor turn-up of celebrities on the show, and he rises to the show's defence.

"Look, we did ask so-called bigger names. But they asked for ridiculous amounts of money. I think we've finally got an eclectic mix of people from different walks of life. And if you ask me, the biggest celebrity on 'Bigg Boss' would be the cow."

According to him, he's already hooked to the show.

"We were up through a large part of Thursday night recording the first episode. And then I just kept watching till morning. It's that addictive!"
